Another successful week. The children have worked very hard and are already making lots of progress. It was great to have so many reading books to change on Wednesday this week...well done parents for reading at home and sending them in. MATHS
This week the children have been getting to grips with place value in 2 digit numbers. They have partitioned numbers in different ways using the base 10 equipment to help. See our photos on twitter
ENGLISH
The children received a letter from Bob this week along with a basket of fruit. Bob had found a strange an unusual fruit growing on a tree on the moon. He wanted our help to identify it. We gathered lots of vocabulary and write some lovely descriptions to send to him. We also helped him by writing a list of commands for the tourists visiting the moon.
TOPIC
This we we found out how the astronauts got to the moon and back. We sequenced the events and wrote a description.
Homework
Homework this week is reading ( books changed every Wednesday) , spelling on TEAMS and maths activities on sumdog and tt rockstars. Well done to all those children who helped us win our battle against Miss Lewis' class.

PE
PE is Wednesday. Please send your child in their full PE kit on a Wednesday. This consists of plain black or navy bottoms and a plain white t shirt. The school jumper or cardigan can be worn over the top.
